FAQ

  • We aim to provide an honest, open, judgment-free for Filipinx/o/a youth to connect to themselves, others, elders to their version of Filipinx culture. And often this involves being in community with others who share similar lived experiences and where you don't have to explain yourself.

  • Generally, 17-25 years old. But the definition is flexible! If you're curious to connect with others in the Toronto Filipinx community and you're between the ages of13-30, please join us.

  • The building is not fully accessible. There is one step up and one step down into the space, four steps up into one of the rooms and the bathrooms are located down a flight of stairs. Please let us know if you require accommodations.

  • There is paid street parking on Walnut Street and King Street West. There may be free parking on side streets, but please check signage. The closest TTC stops are Strachan or Niagara on the 504 King Streetcar and Strachan on the 63 Ossington Bus. The Exhibition GO Train is a 20 minute walk.

  • While we'd love to have you there to experience the full event, we understand that life happens! There are breaks throughout the day designed so people can slip out if needed.

  • Since this is a limited capacity event, we ask that you cancel your registration as soon as you know, so a community member on the waitlist can attend.

  • There is no need to dress up in business casual or anything. Festive attire to celebrate the kick of Filipinx/o/a Heritage Month is more than welcome. But show up in whatever makes you comfortable! Note that some of the optional workshops involve some light movement.
